I had to write the data sheet of the new vintage of our Rute Bolgheri Rosso, 2017. I thought about what Bolgheri is for us: it is our home simply. So, I looked for what we (Michele, me and our children) mostly love of our living here, and I described it like this, in few lines:<\/p>\n

“Bolgheri was a very difficult, harsh,
\nand waste land for centuries.
\nToday it is a Mediterranean garden,
\nwith a still somewhat wild beauty.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

For us, it is our home,
\nwhich has the scent of the hill paths
\nin the scrub, of the salty sea smell
\nin the sand dunes,
\nwhich has the sound of the waves of the sea,
\nof the cackles of the boys
\nwho are bathing in the ford*, \u2026<\/p>\n

Rute is this Bolgheri, familiar to us,
\nthat we look for in the earth and
\nin the stones of our vineyards,
\nin our craftsmanship.”<\/p>\n

What do you say?
\n*Guado al Melo means \u201cford* at the apple tree\u201d. There is really a ford near our vineyards, where our children and their friends have played.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
