The viticultural system is an important factor for the quality of the grape
and is laid down in the first years of growth in the vineyard.
The different systems have various influences on the productivity of the vine, and thus on the quality of the grape.
In Italy there are numerous systems of viticulture, at least 40, these connected to local winemaking tradition and climatic differences.
We have chosen the cordon-trained, spur-pruned technique, as it is a system which allows a high quality level to be reached and permits more rational management of the vineyard.
