| Guado al Melo wines - Made in Bolgheri |
Our goal is to produce wines that are personal and natural, wines that will be the genuine expression of their place of origin, of those who made them, and of the vines that yielded them.
These are elegant, enjoyable, well-balanced wines that are never excessively alcoholic.
Michele personally and painstakingly supervises every step of the wine production, a vinification process that is sensitive, careful, and deeply respectful of the natural qualities of the grapes, which vary every year.
What we have chosen to do is to follow very traditional methods, and not to utilise any additional substances or physio-chemical practices. In other words, the only ingredients we use are grapes, which are brought into the cellar perfectly healthy and well-balanced, thanks to expert management of the vineyards and favourable natural growing conditions.

| Grappa Bolgheri |
Grappa is a distilled spirit produced from the fresh pomace (the grape skins and seeds separated from the juice or wine) placed directly in a pot still.
An Italian product with centuries of tradition behind it, this distilled spirit boasts the most pronounced sensory qualities, since it is produced from the grape skin, where the grape’s aromatic characteristics are most concentrated.
The quality of a grappa depends essentially on the quality of the pomace and on the talents of the master distiller. We send to the pot still only our best-quality, healthiest pomace, from the grapes that we use to m
ake our Bolgheri red wines, while the distillation itself is carried out in the Trentino area, the traditional home of Italy’s best grappa production.

WINE IS GOOD
FOR HEALTH, because wine helps the prevention of cardiovascular problems, it contributes to healthy arteries and liver, boosts the immune system and helps prevent the premature aging of cells.
FOR THE SPIRIT, because of the strong values and love of pleasure of the Mediterranean culture which it represents. It’s the symbol of hospitality and good times.
FOR THE SENSES, because tasting and drinking wine is a sensual act that stimulates the sense of sight, smell, taste and touch.
FOR INTELLIGENCE, because wine is never “only a drink”, but always tells a story linked to the work and passion of man, and of the land where the wine comes from with its own particular story .
FOR DIET, because it accompanies and enhances food and aids digestion: it is a ‘food’ in itself in that it contains calories, not to be forgotten when considering going on a special diet.
